expectation and the genie problem.

The level of expectation vs. reality theory states: The more you expect, the greater your disappointment will be. 

It's true. Proven. And mathematically accurate.

So. There's this new theory. As I met expectations, the level of disappoinment decreased. This doesn't work for her. Stick to the narrative. There MUST BE disappoinment!

The only way this can work, is to increase the expectation incrementally. And give just enough praise to keep it going, but not so much as to show actual satisfaction. 

I'll paraphrase from Luke 12, 48: To whom much has been given, much more will be required...

Jesus is talking about believers in slavery...

I'm not a slave.
